COVID-19 Procedures

Wessex Vans will be continuing to manufacture following strict Government guidelines; We will advise all our customers of any build slot amendments. We are also running a skeleton sales team to deal with all your enquiries and, as happened in the November lockdown, we are still offering our Click & Collect service. Our staff will be happy to send a full video of any vehicle you are interested in.

Please read the following procedures carefully so that you fully understand them prior to visiting the Wessex Vans premises. These guidelines are following Government advice and are designed to protect all our customers, staff and their families.

Please, under no circumstances, come to the premises if you are showing any symptoms of the Covid-19 virus or if anyone you have been in contact with has or are showing symptoms, such as family members or anyone in your household. (Symptoms: A High Temperature- this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back. A new continuous cough- this means coughing a lot for more than an hour or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours. If you usually have a cough it may be worse than usual). If you have lost any sense of taste and smell.

If you are coming to drop your vehicle off for any conversion work or for part exchange, please wash your hands for at least 20 seconds before getting into your vehicle (wear rubber gloves and face covering if possible, to prevent spread of virus). Also please ensure your vehicle is empty of ALL personal items (vehicles that are not empty will not be checked in and will need to be re-booked when the vehicle has been emptied at the next available build slot).

All vehicles will be checked in by a member of staff using appropriate protective clothing, photographs will be taken with any damage recorded and a copy of our check in form will be sent to you by email or WhatsApp. (If you have tested positive or are showing symptoms or have been in contact with somebody who has, please do not drop your vehicle off until your isolation period following Government guidelines, is over).

All Customer Hand-overs will be conducted outside our premises and will run in the same way as our Click and Collect service. You will be sent a link to a video on completion of the works and advised of your collection date. For Camper Vans you will be sent a link to our Video Manual to familiarise yourself with the workings of your vehicle prior to collection and to give you time for any questions to be answered should you have any. 

Click and Collect service customers will be sent a link to full video highlighting all the points relating to that vehicle and our distance selling regulations. Once full cleared funds have been received the van will be ready for collection outside the showroom where a member of staff will meet you to handover the keys appropriately distanced and wearing PPE, following Government guidelines.

Staff will be wearing gloves and masks when working in vehicles to decrease the risk of contamination. This will allow prompt collection of vehicles. (We recommend customers wash their hands as soon as they arrive home after collection in line with government guidelines. Protective gloves will be available on request).

Please accept our apologies, but we cannot allow any members of the public to enter our Showroom or either of the 2 workshops while we are in Lockdown following Government Guidelines and keeping our staff and customers safe and we thank you for your understanding, please be assured that all measures are put in place to protect our customers, staff and their families and not intended to hinder Vehicle sales, collection or the drop off process.

These are very unusual circumstances and we are always re-assessing our procedures to be as efficient and compliant as possible, whilst minimising the risk. Please let us know if you have any special requirements or questions about our procedures.
