STAY ALERT TO STAY SAFE
Wessex Vans are now open for business, and we welcome visitors, but ask you to please read the following procedures carefully so that you fully understand them prior to visiting Wessex Vans premises. These guidelines are following Government advice and are designed to protect all our customers, staff and their families.
Please under no circumstances come to the premises if you are showing any symptoms of the Covid-19 virus or if anyone you have been in contact with has or are showing symptoms, such as family members or anyone in your household. (Symptoms: A High Temperature- this means you feel hot to touch on your chest or back. A new continuous cough- this means coughing a lot for more than an hour or 3 or more coughing episodes in 24 hours. If you usually have a cough it may be worse than usual).
If you a coming to drop your vehicle off for any conversion work please wash your hands for at least 20 seconds before getting into your vehicle (wear rubber gloves if possible, to prevent spread of virus). Also please ensure your van is empty of all personal items (vehicles that are not empty will not be worked on and will need to be re booked when the vehicle has been emptied at the next available build slot).
All vehicles will be checked in by a member of staff using appropriate protective clothing, photographs will be taken with any damage recorded and a copy sent to you by email or WhatsApp. (If you have tested positive or are showing symptoms or have been in contact with somebody who has, please do not drop your vehicle off until your isolation period following Government guidelines is over).
When entering the premises please adhere to all the relevant signage complying to social distancing measures keeping you and our staff safe.
Do not enter the building without permission. You will be instructed to use the hand sanitiser on entry and use gloves and masks where necessary inside when social distancing is not possible.
We have a safe distance waiting area in the sales office with guidance on social distancing. This is to be used by appointment only or when permitted by a member of staff.
>We can allow customers to look at vehicles under supervision and all vehicles will be deep cleaned after each visit to protect the customer and our staff.
All customer handovers will be done at a safe distance with the customer in the van and staff member outside. You will be provided with a short video on the workings if you are having a full camper conversion.
Staff will be wearing gloves and masks when working in vehicle to decrease the risk of contamination. This will allow prompt collection of vehicles. (We recommend customers wash their hands as soon as they arrive home after collection in line with government guidelines. Protective gloves will be available on request).
When leaving the building please dispose of all supplied protective equipment in the waste bin provided then use the hand sanitiser on exit.
Please accept our apologies, but we cannot let any members of the public use our toilet facilities at this time. We are also unable to offer tea, coffee or soft drinks during this time.
Many thanks for your understanding, please be assured that all measures are put in place to protect our customers, staff and their families and not intended to hinder the sales, vehicle collection or drop off process.
These are very unusual circumstances and we are always re-assessing our procedures to be as efficient and compliant as possible by still minimising the risk. Please let us know if you have any special requirements or do not understand any of the aforementioned.
Thanks again, stay safe.
